This role is based in Congo, across multiple client sites: Nkossa / Alima / PNGF Nord / Djeno Terminal. The position follows a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off rotation, with 12-hour working days. The position reports to the Multi‑Site Activities Coordinator and works in close coordination with the Maintenance Superintendent (SIM).
Key Responsibilities :
Operations Domain
- Ensures the execution of the maintenance plan within the instrumentation scope.
- Analyzes maintenance intervention requests, performs on-site diagnostics when required, and converts them into work orders within the CMMS.
- Prepares maintenance activities in the CMMS.
- Leads activity scheduling and workload planning for the discipline.
- Ensures availability of spare parts, initiates purchasing requests when necessary, and controls qualitative and quantitative reception on site.
- Develops intervention procedures, including work methods, manpower requirements, and tooling.
- Prepares Work Permits and participates in daily Work Permit review meetings.
- Plans and prioritizes maintenance activities in coordination with the Multi‑Site Activities Coordinator, defining priorities based on safety, logistical, and production constraints.
- Ensures field presence to supervise maintenance operations carried out by teams and verifies execution quality and deadlines.
- Participates in technical failure analyses and investigations, and drafts incident reports within the instrumentation scope.
- Validates the Maintenance Operation Dossier (DOM) prior to major interventions and the pre-launch meeting (RLO).
- Monitors maintenance operations carried out by external contractors (SMC, statutory inspections, subcontractors) in coordination with the Maintenance Superintendent (SIM).
- Ensures compliance with HSE regulations and Work Permit procedures during all maintenance activities under his/her responsibility.
- Monitors the performance of utilities and equipment under his/her responsibility, records operating parameters and interprets them.
- Participates in daily, weekly, and site coordination meetings, as well as special operation debriefs, reporting to the Multi‑Site Activities Coordinator.
HSE Domain
- Acts as the on-site relay of the Multi‑Site Activities Coordinator to promote and enforce the Group's HSE policies and requirements. Designated as HSE Leader, ensuring the promotion of Dietsmann's Safety Culture in the field.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of Company and Dietsmann HSE rules and ensures their application.
- Ensures all personnel under his/her responsibility understand and comply with the Group's HSE policy.
- Prepares risk assessments for specific or non-routine interventions when required.
Methods Domain
- Maintains and updates the list of obsolete equipment.
- Identifies sensitive operations during maintenance preparation and ensures adequate risk assessments are conducted beforehand.
- Proposes safety improvements during maintenance execution to reduce intervention duration and cost.
- Verifies and analyzes condition-based maintenance parameters and initiates actions to reduce corrective maintenance.
- Contributes to improving maintenance management (maintenance plans, operational procedures, scheduling) by issuing CMMS modification recommendations.
- Alerts support teams to any recurring spare parts availability or quality issues.
- Maintains the backlog within the discipline and proposes corrective measures to the Company in case of drift.
Required Profile
- Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of instrumentation equipment, facility control systems, and metering systems.
- Demonstrated involvement in ensuring maintenance activities comply with company safety rules, trade-specific regulations, and industry best practices.
- Solid technical knowledge of instrumentation: pneumatic and conventional digital systems, intelligent instrumentation, PLC and control systems (Fisher, ABB, GE FANUC, CIMPLICITY, SPEEDTRONIC) and automation systems in general.
- Experience leading a team of technicians, senior and junior craftsmen, in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work effectively in offshore conditions.
- Physical fitness to work on offshore installations in local climatic conditions.
Required Qualifications
- BTS / DUT (or equivalent) in an industrial discipline.
- 5 to 10 years' experience in an equivalent position in the oil or petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency with CMMS tools and IT systems.
- Electrical certification: HO/BR.
- Languages: French and English.
